My BFF

Ella's little friend since birth is Coral. It has been amazing to see them grow up together and go from sleeping during play dates to actually playing during play dates. Cliff and I went on our first adult only date two weeks ago and El went to Coral's house to play. She had a great time! She also goes over there just to play and have fun. Here are some pictures from those play dates.

Let the sunshine in...

We had beautiful sunshine in this area for a week and a half. It is now gone. :( Everyday, we would get our shoes on and Ella would run around in the front yard checking out the neighborhood and soaking up the sun. On Monday, we went to the park with our friend Kristy and her pup Finn and El just ran around in the grass. She had a lot of fun and I enjoyed some sunbathing. It's so nice and so rare to be able to sit in the sun.

Gym Rat

On Saturday, Ella, Cliff, and I went to Flips 4 Kids' open gym time. Ella had such a great time running around the mats and trampolines, but especially loved climbing the stairs over and over. She even played in the big pit full of foam cubes. I even got my exercise running after her!

Doctor's Appointment

Today Ella had her 18 month checkup. She is completely healthy and weighs 22 pounds 10 ounces, a gain of 11 ounces in three months. She is in the 50th percentile for weight. Her height on the other hand is in the 95th percentile! She is 32 1/2 inches tall. She has grown 3 inches in 3 months! The doctor said her development is normal. She also got two shots. :( One for the Hepatitis A rounds and another MMR. She got a toe prick to check her anemia levels and she is within normal ranges for that, too. Yay for a healthy, happy daughter. (except the fit she was throwing when I took these pictures!)

Our little angel?

Today Ella was supposed to be taking a nap but instead I found her doing this when I went in to check on her. There are no words.

So much to do. So little time!

I know everything thinks this but it is so hard to focus on a task at hand when Ella is in the middle of the mess you are trying to clean up! I am attempting to clean out our bathroom closet so that if we ever get our house listed on the market someone won't open it and be injured or even worse! get killed from the piles of toiletries that come falling down! I know Ella just wants to play with me but it is so hard to get something done when she wants to be my little helper. Mom and Samie - you should come down the beginning of February and help me clean my house! That way you would get to see El and my house my actually stay clean for more than two days! If anyone has any advice as to how I can get this done, please do tell!
